Frontier is an ecological project in the Scottish Highlands based on circular economy principles. Our mission is to invigorate you and your well-being, while helping nature at the same time. This is a forward-thinking forestry venture, improving forest habitat and forest experiences together. It is a full embrace of the National Forestry Strategy, exploring new ways to make forestry fit for the future. We have designed this micro-scale cabin as an ecological experiment; to deliver a measurable positive for the local environment, direct benefits to local wildlife, and life experiences for our wonderful guests. Frontier is committed to rewilding, carbon efficiency, and magical experiences. Your cabin is made from 75% recycled materials; an innovative off-grid design, built by hand, powered by wind, harvesting local water, and fueled by locally sourced firewood. It is part of a bigger demonstration of how forestry can be done differently. Get hands-on with our local rewilding projects, and help us to plant 10,000 new trees; diversifying a beautiful plantation forest in the Cairngorms National Park.
