Every guest has an opportunity to plant and name a new tree as part of your forestry experience.

What You Need to Know:

• This really is off-grid. The Tolquon is 500m from the nearest road. You can drive or walk 10 mins up to your cabin using forestry tracks and this may involve a little adventure

• Water is sourced from the forest, carbon-filtered, then zapped with UV. The water has a natural Speyside tint. We stock bottled water too. Nessie loves the tint. The choice is yours

• Natural firewood; keeps your cabin warm. Everything is provided. Your fuel is grown in the forest, and we replace trees anew

• Hot water available 24/7

• Lavatory: Cinderella Eco is your luxe Norwegian cabin toilet. It is a wonderous invention. Worth a peek on Youtube

• Electricity: plug and play. Generated on-site. Frontier has a wind turbine, capturing energy from nature. Please use it responsibly

• Walks: 200+ acres of magical evergreen forest to explore

• Pets: well-behaved dogs are welcome (leads are essential)

The cabins are serviced every Monday and every Friday.

6-week refund policy: bookings within 6 weeks of arrival are locked in, so can’t be refunded. Travel insurance is recommended.

Terms: Pets by prior approval only. The cabins are insured and are serviced by a dedicated local team. Smoking is outdoors only. Travel insurance is highly recommended (check policy covers UK travel). Payment is required upfront to reserve. Note that there’s a 6-week minimum period in the cancellation policy for bookings to be refunded, meaning we can only refund if you cancel well in advance of your stay.

Guidance on woodland, wildlife and cabin safety (a simple code of conduct for all guests) must be followed; available in your welcome pack. Your tree is waiting on arrival and we have set aside a place for planting.
